Michael is a cyber security architect and AI governance specialist with more than two decades of global experience. He combines deep technical expertise with formal studies in philosophy focused on ethics and privacy to design secure and resilient architectures and safe and responsible AI governance frameworks.
He brings a distinctive perspective to AI governance, blending technical proficiency with ethical insight to help organisations build principled, practical governance structures that meet emerging regulatory expectations while strengthening their broader security posture.
Throughout his career, Michael has consistently uplifted organisational security through strategic architecture design and implementation. At one of Australia’s top five retail banks, he led major initiatives including endpoint detection uplift and cloud security posture management. In the mining and water utility sectors, he contributes to operational technology security and cloud transformation programs.
Previously, as a Senior Security Architect at the world’s second-largest spirits manufacturer, Michael bridged executives, engineers, and operational teams to modernise security across IT and OT environments. His expertise spans traditional IT, cloud-native platforms, industrial control systems, and emerging AI technologies.
Michael holds CISSP, CCSP, and AIGP certifications, and bachelor’s degrees in network computing and philosophy, specialising in the intersection of technology, ethics, and privacy.
