Joel brings an impressive level of skills and more than a decade of cyber security experience to his work as Principal Consultant at Digital Resilience.

He began his career at Verizon and served as a security analyst before joining one of Australia’s largest banks. During his tenure, he held security roles including analyst, engineer and testing specialist working extensively across vulnerability management, application security and penetration testing.

Joel is a member of the GIAC Advisory Board, a recognition of his deep technical skills and commitment to contributing to the ongoing exchange of ideas within his profession.

Academically, Joel is well-qualified. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems Security from Charles Sturt University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is also a certified OffSec Web Expert (OSWE), OffSec Experienced Penetration Tester (OSEP), OffSec Certified Professional (OSCP), OffSec Wireless Professional (OSWP), SANS GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO) from Zero-Point Security.

Away from work, Joel likes to explore the outdoors with his wife and their two dogs.
