Jacob is a Consulting Partner at Digital Resilience with more than 20 years of experience in cyber security, risk management, and operational resilience. He works with organisations across multiple geographies, with deep expertise in the banking and finance services industry and critical infrastructure environments.

Jacob is skilled in navigating complex regulatory frameworks, including the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act and APRA’s CPS 234 and CPS 230. Jacob specialises in cyber security governance ensuring roles and responsibilities for boards, executives, and the three lines of defence are well defined, ensuring effective reporting, accountability, and oversight. He excels with integrating cyber security risk into broader risk management frameworks, designing and implementing controls to protect critical business operations and sensitive information assets, and conducting systematic testing of controls to ensure their ongoing effectiveness.

Jacob has led responses to several sophisticated and sustained cyber incidents, bringing a calm, structured, and analytical approach to crisis management. He helps organisations build and maintain cyber security capabilities proportionate to the scale and complexity of threats, enabling secure and resilient operations.

Jacob is CISSP-certified and COBIT-accredited and holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from La Trobe University. He also contributes to the academic and industry community through his role on La Trobe University’s IoT Advisory Board.
