In doing so we promote a prudent risk management culture and help instil requisite risk management principles and practices.


Paul Dewsnap

Paul brings twenty-seven years of senior leadership experience, having spent the past seventeen years working with regional banks, credit unions and digital banks across Asia Pacific. Before moving into financial services, he spent several years in the United States where he led the delivery of large-scale business initiatives in human resource consulting and health care spanning North America and Europe.

Paul possess a unique blend of strategic and business planning skills, coupled with an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, digital technology, core systems integration and consolidation, IT outsourcing, cyber security and operational risk management. He is an experienced facilitator of Board strategy development workshops and advises Directors and Executives on the application of emerging technologies, and the associated opportunities, risks and controls.

Paul is a regular speaker at Business SA, Committee for Economic Development Australia, CEO Institute and the Australian Governments Digital Champions Project on cyber security and risk management. He also teaches business strategy to entrepreneurs through Business SA’s SAYES and Encore Programs and invests time supporting the local fintech community.



Jayson Walmsley

Jayson brings more than 25 years of experience in banking and finance, information technology, risk and security. He has held senior roles including Head of Information Security and Head of IT Risk and Governance at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, and Manager of Networks & Telecommunications and Manager of Payment Systems at Adelaide Bank.

Jayson believes a strong security strategy fully integrated with the business is a necessity for all organisations, not only to manage the ever-increasing threat of security risk, but more importantly as a business enabler in today’s digital world.

He is passionate about working with businesses to assist them strike the right balance between securing technologies and data and realising business benefit. Facilitating a change in mind-set from perceiving security as a cost of doing business to seeing it as a growth enabler is also important to him.

Jayson’s areas of speciality are cyber security strategy and cyber risk management, leveraging a business driven-risk based approach. He has assisted business embed cyber resilience and maximise the value of technology through effective strategy and architecture, managed complex programs of work and undertaken numerous security and risk reviews.

Jayson is a board member of the ISACA Adelaide Chapter and member of the Australian Information Security Association.



Cerri Morgan

Cerri brings 20 years’ experience in IT, has specialised in Cyber Security for 15+ years and has held senior roles in Ireland and Australia, working in banking and finance, higher education and agribusiness.

Cerri is certified in a number of specialised security areas and has a Masters degree in Science Communication. Cerri is passionate about managing cyber security risk across all levels in an organisation, raising awareness of cyber threats to secure what matters.

Cerri’s direct skills and experience have included cyber security strategy and program development, risk management, security awareness, policy and standards, threat and vulnerability management, application security, identity management, enterprise security architecture, incident response and remediation, cloud security, third-party security assessments and delivering targeted education seminars, to name but a few.

Cerri is an industry lecturer at the University of South Australia’s Master degree in Cybersecurity and a member of ISACA.


Digital Resilience Phillip Souter
Consulting Partner – Cyber Security

Phillip Souter

Phillip brings twenty-two years of experience in Financial Services that includes numerous Senior Leadership roles within Information Technology including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Head of Technology Strategy and Planning, and filling the Chief Information Officer (CIO) role for the fifth largest retail bank in Australia. With a passion for both security and technology, Phillip has developed strong skills and experience within cyber security and the technology field.

In his role as CISO Phillip lead the Information Security function including a multi-year program of work to increase the security posture at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. Previous to this role Phillip spent four years heading up the Technology Services Strategy & Planning Capability. In his Senior Leadership roles, he has managed technology strategy, finance, portfolio planning, networking, voice, infrastructure security and application development teams.

Phillip believes security must be built on the foundation of enabling the organisation to achieve business outcomes. Phillip has strong management and technical cyber security background with design and development of complex governance, risk and compliance strategies, security architecture, security testing and cyber defence, risk and policy development, business resilience and implementation of cyber security programs.

Phillip is well qualified holding the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture Foundation (SABSA) and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certifications in addition to a Bachelor of Computing from La Trobe University.

Consulting Partner – Cyber Security

Jacob Kiel

Jacob brings fifteen years of Information Security experience in Financial Services including four years specialising in the Service Recovery space at the fifth largest retail bank in Australia, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. In addition to the Senior Manager responsible for Security Governance he has held roles as Cyber Security Program Lead, Security Architect, and IT Service Continuity Specialist.

Jacob has a passion for Security Governance with a keen interest in benchmarking, maturity, cyber strategy, and regulatory compliance including the Privacy Act. In his role as Senior Manager Security Governance, Jacob lead the development and ongoing management of the cyber strategy, including the consideration for organisational goals, threat landscape, compliance obligations and risk appetite to enable a well-balanced outcome tailored to the needs and risks of the organisation. Jacob also provided ongoing development of strategic initiatives into multiyear programs and projects.

Jacob’s areas of speciality are cyber security strategy and cyber program development, leveraging a business-driven risk based approach, risk management, security education and awareness, policy and standards, threat and vulnerability management, identity management, fraud management, enterprise security architecture, organisational resilience and remediation, and third-party security assessments.

Jacob is well qualified holding the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) certifications in addition to a Bachelor of Information Technology from La Trobe University.
