Phillip is a Consulting Partner at Digital Resilience who has successfully helped Australian institutions achieve their information security and operational risk management objectives for more than 25 years.

In his former role as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the fifth largest retail bank in Australia, Phillip led the Information Security function and implemented a multi-year program to increase the bank’s security posture. His expertise is matched by excellent communication skills, an ability to build strong professional relationships, and creativity in problem-solving.

Phillip is a trusted advisor who specialises in risk governance, risk management, information security, and regulatory compliance. He is also a respected thought leader in the security industry and has spoken at numerous conferences on embracing a risk-based approach to information security.

Phillip’s credentials are many. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and accredited with the Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture Foundation (SABSA) and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds a Bachelor of Computing from La Trobe University.

Phillip is also an Independent Member of the Audit and Risk Committee at Workways Australia and the IT Governance Committee at the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist. He is also an Independent Member and Chair of the Information Security Governance Committee at LLL Australia, and an Independent Member of the Information Security Risk Forum at the Hospital and Medical Benefits System (HAMBS).
